I recently visited a Jewish friend’s business, and as always, we discussed business, even bartering. And as always, he asked questions and talked and I listened and talked.
I still have much to learn, and am always on the lookout to add to my value as a business and person, for both my customers and for my vendors.
When I began writing my newest book (How Would Jesus Do Business?), I began in earnest to find out what the Bible says about business. We’ve all been to “business school” and learned from working in business, but the real question became: What DOES the Bible say about transacting business?
It starts with one Bible verse.
I connected with the Center for Faith & Work at LeTourneau University web site soon after I found out they are a good source of information regarding the subject of how to incorporate one’s faith with one’s career and work.
Below are some links to some good content regarding faith and work, both as an employee and as a business owner.
I have just completed putting together a 2 Day Christian Startup Entrepreneur Workshop titled “Fish Tank HWJDB How Would Jesus Do Business?”
Most workshops are generally marketed as “Six Figure Income” or “Boot Camp Flavor of the Month,” but none, including Christian organizations, have the content that this course offers.
Ask yourself these questions regarding workshops that you have seen, attended, or would like to attend:
- Is the workshop Bible-based?
- Is the workshop focused on how God created you?
- Does the workshop give you the right sequenced startup steps?
- Does the workshop give you the “Big Picture” of what you need to do?
- Can you take what you learn and start now?!
If you answered “No” to most of the questions, then read more below.

When looking into history, we find something that happened that seems to have accelerated both the productivity and wealth of a society. It was not happenstance, it was grounded in God’s Word when the Founding Fathers constructed a new nation with new principles.
So let’s take a look at this short video, “Why Does 1% of History Have 99% of the Wealth?”
