I was lying in bed this morning reflecting on what has transpired in my life these last few weeks. Mostly cantankerous comments toward me (not just one comment, but multiple comments from multiple sources about many topics). You know what I’m talking about.
When you say something that is on your mind or if you’re like me, thinking out loud about a topic, and individuals get “diarrhea of the mouth, constipation of the brain” and become critical of your thoughts and words, based on their thoughts. As if you’re wrong for thinking or questioning what you’re thinking. Or as it is in most cases, judging you, i.e. condemning your thoughts, rather than judging you, i.e. weighing and weighing in on, what you’re thinking.
The former to shut you down, the latter contributes to your thoughts as you work out or through the issue you’re thinking about. In most cases, people’s comments are the former, hence the reason for this post
